/freelance art for hire
Iowa State Fair 2011.... I agree and entered a 350 pound concrete cow. It was the 100 yr Birthday for the Butter Cow and all participants were suppose to paint a cow any way they wanted to enter into the fair! this I guess was a freelance job for myself!! It was the first art piece I've ever entered anywhere... and I painted what I knew.. My Grandparents farm... I couldn't believe I won 1st place in the professional category! God was good to me that year! :) It is now a tradition to enter!
So I didn't place this year but I feel like a winner anyway! I almost didn't get to make the entry date. I had a rare medical emergency and had to have major surgery... I was release with strict restrictions only 3 days before the piece was due! I painted anyway! and enjoyed every min of it even though I didn't get to do all to it I wanted to... the winning to me is that I was able to make the entry deadline! I can't wait to see what they have me to paint for 2013... I'll keep you posted!
A client had me paint a wooden board for them and paint it into a race track with 4 lanes and Mickey on it! The client then finished it out by adding a kick stand to make it stand with an angle to it... they then used it to race matchbox cars down it with their kids! Fun! I just never know what people are going to have me paint! :) ?What will you have me PAINT when you hire me?? Something for yourself or will it be a gift!
these are one of my top selling items..... I have several standing orders year round for these. They make great Birthday presents! I have too many to post but if you would like to see other designs please contact me to request them. Each runs 25.00 and are waterproofed! I also make some (pictures to come soon) with tutus on them! these are 30.00 each and are my most popular style for girls! :)
